UK based translation project:

Recently I finished my work on a translation project for UK based group. This group of artists are working on the concept of RIVERS basically in regard of environment change and some of them have written some poems on rivers.

When they visited India in December 2008 they organized a workshop on WORKS ON RIVERS at the bank of river Mahi. Many people from Vidhyanagar participated in this workshop. Those who could write some poetry or could draw some pictures on river, they did it in their respective fields. Then some of the works written in the workshop were published by UK based group at UK.

Falguni Bharteeya and me worked on this project for its musical presentation and recitation. I worked in this project for its musical presentation and recitation along with some vocals.

We recorded 9 tracks: out of these 9 tracks, one was original English poem by Ray Hearne and its gujarati translation by Falhuni Bharteeya, another was an English poem by Julie Boden and its Gujarati translation by Falguni Bharteeya. Apart from this, i recorded for 5 other poems: 2 written in English by Alka Macwan and Rajendrasinh Jadeja & Adam Tankarvi and 3 Gujarati translations by Falguni Bharteeya, Kiran Joshi and Pranav Dave.

These days Falguni Bharteeya is in UK for a seminar on RIVERS organized by this UK based group. She is going to present these 9 tracks over there at UK.

After this post i m going to upload a video created by me on one of these 9 tracks and that is on flood.....'JE DI UMTI AVYA PUR'-it's a gujarati translation.
